What are 25 random things about yourself?

Jeez, difficult to limit it to 25, or to know what other people would find random or interesting!! Your thread Intrepid, start us of so!

No problem. Now compiling a list. Give me a few minutes.

Here are 25 things about me, giving you an insight into what makes up the dark horse known as Intrepid.

1. Middle name: Elizabeth
2. Only surviving child of 4 children. 3 dead one deaf.
3. No cousins. My father was also the only surviving child of 4 children.
4. Made to move classes 4 times, before they decided to leave me with this particular class.
5. First dog I had was dumped on us, she was suffering kidney failure. The previous owners did not want to have her around anymore as she was urinating all over the place. They did not want to put her down. So we had the task... Only had the elderly dog for a week. Her names was Bassie.
6. Visited 5 continents, lived on two.
7. Had two Gambian names. The Deaf community there called me Kumba. The other one was given by complete strangers so that name doesn't count.
8. Have friends from all continents apart from Antarctica.
9. Not very demonstrative.
10. First intense crush was on someone who used to be on Falcon Crest. (Anyone remember that soap?)
11. Used to watch Wimbledon without fail until this player retired. Now I'm not interested anymore.
12. Suffered from mild pneumonia for a few months when I was in the Gambia. (They looked after me VERY well. Kudos to the Gambia VSO office.)
13. Honorary member of the Kaneleng group in Janjangbureh, a rural town in the Gambia. Kaneleng? ask me, I'll explain.
14.I love BATS. They are seriously misunderstood creatures.
15.If I was a Star Trek character I would be a Bajoran. (Those who watch Star Trek Deep Space Nine would understand) A lot of people say I'm more like a Vulcan, but these people don't know me. AT ALL.
16. If I was offered superpowers, I would take telepathy.
17.I had to don a superwoman costume and run around like an eejit on temple bar, to the amusement of visiting American tourists. For a TV programme. Broadcast throughout the country. Ah well. No worries.
18. I acted the part of Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, a play at UCD. ISL was used as my fairy language, and I was very much a creature of the forest, with wild hair and wearing heavy clunky Docs. Purple costume. It was Great to break the mould! Kudos to Erin, (The director) for being true to her vision!
19. Can't drive. Will drive by the end of 2009.
20. Had to act as a voice over interpreter one time. Never again. (I was put on the spot)
21. A cat snuck into my house and gave birth under the bookcase. It was too late by the time I saw her, the kitten's head was out already. That was the first time I saw a live birth take place. Under the bookcase.
22. Awa was my maid in the Gambia. She was a fantastic ironer.
23. My next ambition is to visit South America. When? I don't know. Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, as well as the other smaller countries. Particularly interested in Patagonia.
24. Don't drink tea at all. Rarely drink coffee. Caffe Latte is my coffee, when I DO drink this.
25.I'm a great woman, but you have to get to know me first.

5.I hold a All Ireland basketball medal from 1997 – I was actually too young to play on the senior team – but they let me play anyway, I score 10 2pt baskets.
6.I was sent off in a basketball match for knocking out the referee, she deserved it.
7.I have had physical fights with men, and won.
8.I have broken my hand in the same place twice, two years in a row, on the same weekend (Halloween bank holiday) freaky!!
9.I am a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do
10.I am the only member of my immediate family (dad, mam and brother) who doesn’t have dark hair and green eyes.
11.I am 6ft tall
12.When my best friend came out to her mam she said “I always knew one of you was going to be gay, I just always thought it would be MTS” – obviously she used my real name.
13.My parents live in the south of France, therefore I will inherit property in the south of France…woo hoo!
14.I can draw, and paint, and have sold 1 painting!
15.I was not baptised or christened. I have no religion.
16.My dad once caught me in the act of sex, when I was 16.
17.I have taken pretty much every drug you can imagine, enjoyed some.
18.I have an international bronze medal for Tae Kwon Do, when I was 15. I was a green belt at the time, and the competition was for red belts and up, I lied, and won two fights before being bet in the semi-final.
19.I had Olympic tryouts for Tae Kwon Do the day after my debs – needless to say I didn’t qualify.
20.I once broke my big toe in an all Ireland Tae Kwon do competition and fought for another 2 rounds, before heading to A&E. I got a silver medal.
21.My brother is my idol, if I could be half the person he is, I would be happy.
22.The thing I am most scared of in life is ending up alone.
23.I once kicked Brian Mc Fadden in the head.
24.I had whooping cough as a baby, and nearly died.
25.I am the craziest person I know, and my friends think I am the craziest person they know, therefore I must be crazy? *Runs away flailing arms in a manic manner*

Was the bone you broke the scaphoid I broke that bone in my left hand a year apart playing basketball. I havn't played since.
