** This competition is now over - congrats to all the winners **I am pleased to announce an exciting competition for the Message Boards!
The prize is
Free Lifetime Membership of Gaire. The winner will also get a snazzy "Firestarter" badge added to their forum posts if they wish.
To be in with a chance of winning you simply need to start some
Hot Topics. At the end of each month, the five members who've started the most Hot Topics will be elligble to win.
Of these five, the member whose topics had the most unique participants will be declared the winner. Basically, it won't be possible to win by starting lots of topics that only you and a friend respond to.
You can keep track of the competition by clicking Stats in the message boards menu above. As you can see its currently a close run thing.

The winner will be announced on the first Monday of each month - therefore March's winner will be announced on April 6th.
The competition will run for a year and I must ask members not to disrupt new and existing topics with chatter about the competition. These posts will be removed by myself and the moderators.
You can of course talk about the competition in this topic but please try to keep it positive and helpful. After all, nobody wants to read snarky comments everytime someone starts a new topic that may or may not be part of the competition.
Soooooo if you missed out on Lifetime Membership all those years ago, now is your chance to grab it while you can! Good luck everyone!
Competition RulesFor now I'll keep the rules as simple as I can but I may need to add more conditions as the competition rolls on.
Chat / Quizes topics are not eligible (From May onwards)
As topics are constantly being added to, the cutoff point will be midnight before the results are announced.
In the event of a member winning more than once, the prize will be given to the runner up.
If a winner already has lifetime membership they can gift it to someone else or accept a gift token for €50 instead.
Members who create duplicate accounts for posting on the boards will be permanently disqualified from the competition.
