Sinéad O'Connor did a rather up tempo version on an album by The Chieftains back in the mid 90s. It's my personal favourite.

That's right. She also brought out an album called Sean Nos Nua, or something like that, which had some very interesting versions of old Irish songs. She has a terrific voice for that sort of thing.
