A special thread for Rep of Ireland's qualifying campaign on the road to Poland/ Ukraine.

Next week, Ireland take on mighty Andorra at home (tickets on sale now for E70!).

But first, our boys have to challenge tricky Armenia this evening in Yerevan, kick off 4pm.

The rest of our group comprises Russia, Slovakia and Macedonia.

So . . . do you think we can win this evening? Can we qualify for the finals for only the second time ever?

Put down that inflatable plastic hammer and type!

70 euros! I guess they have to pay for that Stadium somehow. Still though, 70 euros? Who's the support band?

In fairness, the E70 is for the main stand seats. You can get an end seat for E50.

I think Guns'n'Roses are the support act.

I think its a fairly do-able looking group, slovakia are decent but not exactly spectacular, Russia are very dangerous when they are in form as well....but I think we might just sneak it this time!

Here's hoping Gaebo. What exciting prospects have we in the team now that are showing signs that they could be match winners?

We are going all the way this time!

Seriously, I agree with you Gaebo. This could be our best chance to qualify in twenty years. Trap knows what he is doing, the squad has confidence in itself, the group is not special - Russia didn't qualify for the World Cup and Slovakia are hardly in a different class to Ireland.

But this game could be an early banana skin. A lot depends on whether Ireland can asset themselves early on. We don't want to be chasing this game.

I know, I am going to attempt a daring escape from work at around 4pm on the hope of getting home in time for the second half. . . But I don't know if I will get away with it yet. I wonder if there will be a radio commentary available?

They must have very flexible hours in your office Shaggy! I started at 8 and the earliest I can leave is half three.
