38 YO STRAIGHT MALE FROM DUBLIN

After the the government finally recognised Linda Foy as the lady she is, i really hope other people will become more understanding of transgenders/cd's.tv's. Thanks to chatting with people on here and another site, i have become more confident in myself. I have woke up some mornings and really want to go to work en fem, weather it be a secretary, hotel work or even a p.a. Does anybody know if any such positions are out there, i know its a long shot, but even to do it one day a week would be a huge relief for me not to mention a great experience.

100 YO MALE

In my experience the US multinationals are very progressive in this regard. Especially the IT ones. The likes of Dell, Intel and IBM had workplace diversity policies inherited from their parent companies years before the law moved in that direction. The new kid on the block, Google, seems to be cut from a similar cloth.

OK. And have you ever come to work dressed up, or discussed it with anyone at work?

I have worn tights and knickers under my clothes but only twice. Two ladies in work know, but we dont talk about it really.

32 YO STRAIGHT FEMALE FROM DUBLIN

Women dont wear feminine clothes in a warehouse, you need to wear comfortable and safe clothes. Celina, you need to have appropriate qualifications to be a secretary, a good typing speed, phone manner and diary management skills. If you have these then maybe apply for an office based role.

The fact it didnt change their opinion of me was enough, and one of them has bought me some things in the past. I have about 8 female friends who are amazing and help me in different ways.

That's good to hear. I'm glad you have supportive friends. It must be difficult to like dressing up but not feel able to tell anyone.

I use a computer quite a lot during the working day, and also on the phone a lot. I wouldn't seek an office job with the company i currently work for because with the exception of the two aforementioned ladies, nobody else would understand
