PLEASE NOTE : Sometimes it can take a while for everyone to arrive - if you are a newbie / nervous, best to come around 10pm to ensure that there are people there to meet you. Its a casual meet and everyone is encouraged to talk to everyone but it helps to have a few posts to your name on the boards.

Actually thanks for posting this thread up Greenmanpp becuase the though just occured in my head that it was time for a full Gaire meet soon - especially to mark the 10th anniversary of the message boards in September and celebrate that milestone (or is it millstone) with some of the original denizens of the boards - you know who ye are.

A Saturday night? 18th or 25th AUG, 1st or 8th SEP

PLACE
Upstairs Nealsons; familiar, great "chatting atmosphere" loads of meets held there before, a bit drab, limited bar, a bit 'safe' absolutly no public interaction. (the rest of the bar is downstairs, outside, and around to the front.


Downstairs Pantibar; familiar, a quick jump up the stairs to the main bar, pool table, Panti is always in danger of being just a bit too loud but the last meet there was grand and bar stocks everything you QUILTBAGPIPE face can fit it's lips around.


Somewhere else: like the new Wilde place; unknown, exciting, new, dangerous, suspicious, no one knows where it is, it may not even be opened yet.

I would suggest a weekend in early to mid September would be ample time for notice of a meet. Nealons would probably be the easiest venue to organise.

We already had the 10th Gaire Anniversary about 2 years ago. (it was set up in 2000 - the message boards were 2002)

If this meet is on in September though I'll try my best to go to it.
