Nigeria ,Pakistan and Kenya are some of the most homophobic countries on
Earth yet Google Trends, showed that "by volume the world leader for Google searches of the terms 'shemale sex,' 'teen anal sex,' and 'man f-cking man.'""gay sex pics" and "anal sex pics."

Is this a case of internalised homophobia? Are you surprised? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/14/gay-porn-pakistan_n_3437 etc ...

It's because they face capital punishment (Pakistan/Northern Nigeria) or jail (Southern Nigeria, Kenya) if they have more than virtual sex. In Pakistan the penalty is up to life in prison.

I wouldn't say so. Fear of being prosecuted for breaking the various laws that are in place is going to be prohibitive to finding and having sexual experiences and a huge chunk of those guys are going to resort to the Google.

Although, I do wonder how it can be any more than the 100% of gay men's searches in any of the less homophobic countries.
