Theresa May To Seek Snap Election

She is a hopeless campaigner and unsettled by unscripted encounters even with tame journalists but I suspect she is going to win by a landslide. It's all too depressing for words

The English and Welsh public seem to think she is very competent right now. In local elections they have just given her and her Party a substantial mandate.

She is very well liked and admired across Britain. More than many recent prime ministers.

Yet again, there seems to be a dissonance between the man on the street and the internet megaphones.

She is cowardly to avoid the debate, and the general public aswell, if her campaign so far is any indication.

Also repeating the same inane slogan over and over does not inspire confidence. She will do well though but that is down to the state of UK politics.

That is true. Shameful to have no tv debate in modern democracy. She has always been described as a control freak. It doesnt seem to be hurting her.

That's the sad thing. People seem not to care that she is going to take away their human rights and destroy their health care system in the name of strong leadership

The problem is she is rather awkward and not too quick on her feet. In PMQs Cameron was Muhammad Ali compared to her.

I like him. But honestly a parrot would come across strong and stable compared to Corbyn.

Ha! In many ways Theresa May has been quite a parrot, so far, in this election.

Theresa: 'Strong and Stable leadership in the national interest'
Media: 'So any policies?'
Theresa: *displeased face* 'umm... squawk... strong and stable... squawk STRONG AND STABLE... squawk... Terry wants a bigger majority.. squawk... STRONG AND STABLE...'
and repeat till election day

At least if she is reconducted, it will be a clear sign that people were not "tricked into Brexit by lies", but that actually wanted Thatcher back, strong and stable.

Labour should have taken the risk of saying that this is Referendum II, and that they would row back no Brexit if they were elected: withdraw Article 50 and re-run a flash referendum, or maybe the other way round to keep a bit pf stability.

Instead Labour says it will do not different, but messier.
