Leo Varadkar, a 38 yr old gay son of an Indian immigrant is the presumptive next Taoiseach.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Of course, it's not official until GLEN issue a press statement about it.

I'm no lemon, not bitter but what fruit do we consider a symbol for honesty?

Leo Varadkar is a fraud, charaltan, amoral egotist ambitionist.

Straight talking?

Remember when he powerfully spoke for the union of ONE MAN ONE WOMAN. All the while hiding his sexuality? All the while betraying his own kind for votes.

He disgusts me.

He won't last, the majority of his own party preferred Simon, the majority of the country preferred Simon. Let Leo enjoy the accolades (it is all he really ever cared about). Soon enough he will be turfed from office, and the electorate will deliver the judgement he has more than earned.

Despite just finishing some lemon tea, I think it's amazing we have a an openly gay Taoiseach, I could never ever imagined in my whole life that I would have seen this happening in my lifetime. Isn't the world and Ireland an amazing place?

Its really actually annoying me today all this. All I heard all day was "A queer is going to be running the country. The worlds gone mad".
I support him because of some of his policies I agree with. I don't give a shit about his sexuality.

Just heard it constantly and it annoys me. Mostly said by some muldoon from ballygobackwards mind you.

Where on earth do you hang out that you hear people talk like that?

Indians tweeting about him, have made his name trend worldwide for several hours.
