Bouncers........Grrrr

# 1 : Sunday 5-10-2008 @ 04:40

Tonight I was ejected from a nightclub for doing absolutely nothing. I was shifting a fine looking girl when I was grabbed and told the 'lads' wanted a chat with me outside. I complied and went with them asking what this was about, I got no reply then got chucked out the door with no chat or explanation. I should be shagging now so I'm seriously pissed off. What the f$ck is with bouncers? There was some serious looking E casualties around yet I got picked off and dragged out like I had committed some woeful crime. It was only my second time in the club the first being 3 years ago when it was just opened, and I left that night with no problems. Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh I'm just really pissed off.

Apologies for the rant.

What do you mean "shifting"?

That could explain a lot.

There you have it, it is what I though: you were being inappropirate, and/or she was the gf of the bouncer or barperson.
Slapper!

uh we were in a nightclub, is that not where 'mating rituals' begin? Regardless what was going on around us was a lot more Barring worthy then what we were at. Worst thing is I have absolutely no idea of who the bouncer was that chucked me out and if he had some sort of vendetta against me from his previous employments. Now I'm not a scrapper I would rather stop a fight then start one. But I will fight my corner if I am wronged, yet I was given absolutely no reason as to why I was ejected. I will be taking this up with his employers, but sure they are bouncers so I know it'll be pissing in the wind and also the risk of getting the shit kicked out of me some night when I'm walking home. Seriously though can anyone tell me what is the professional code of conduct with these thugs, if there is any? or is it still 'I don't like the look of you so I'm going to f$ck up your night'?

Snogging a guy/girl in a club makes him/her a slapper? Nice Judgment!

Isn't it amazing how small minded folks assume the worst about people?

Bouncers can, to a point, toss out people they don't like the look of. (once any equality laws aren't broken. the nine grounds of discrimination, yadda yadda)

people who kiss strangers in nightclubs... they're entitled to do what they like to do. To each their own.

Get in touch with the club's manager in sober time. As him/her to explain his bouncers actions.

I remember an incident some years back in a well-known northside dive in the general area of Upper o'Connell Street.

Bouncer: You! Do you have yokes on you?
Me: No.
Bouncer: Do you want any?

Why do you think it's possible that bouncers would have a grudge against you because of your previous employment?

^^ From his previous employments. for years all the bouncers in the town were straight out of the army... So as I didn't conform with GAA fashion, I was always followed and hassled. There was one incident about several years ago, we were out for a friends birthday and we were hammered, I left to get something to eat and the guys on the door said there would be no problem letting me back in. When I'd finished eating they refused to let me back in, It was winter and my jacket was still in the cloak room. They flat out refused to even get my coat for me. Needless to say I was not happy and protested in a fine drunken manner so one minor offence after I was literally cheated by the bouncers and I've feckin batman after me. Had I done anything wrong stealing fighting or being a nuisance than fair enough I will hold my hand up to that and would not have started this thread! but I've worked for many many years as a waiter, I know only too well exactly what is and what isn't acceptable and have never had the desire to cross the lines.

ah feck him I'm sure he had a fantastic wank over his powertripping. So at least some muck was chucked!

Most bouncers are decent enough and with a shitty job whose sole recompense is a few hundred quid and a bit of action from girls who've "forgotten" their ID (if you take my meaning). However (and this is less so today than a few years ago) there are some quite dangerous eggs out there including former criminals and paramilitaries. As I said, this is not nearly as bad as when I was going out in Dublin first. Anyone remember the luckless duo who fell foul of the doorstaff in one of Leeson Street's seedier dives and ended up with a truly savage beating landing one of them in hospital for several months? Most of this lot seem to have either left or have been pushed out of the business these days.

Right, so just to get this straight, you think you've a history of victimisation because you're not in the GAA?

And you made a drunken show of yourself and can't understand why this might be held against you?

What does any of this have to do with your past employment?

Yep I remember it and last nite I got refused from a nite club, because I wore a hoody up to the door, (it was raining) But I think they do an "OK" job.
