I still wouldn't buy off any of them though.

You mightened but doesn't what you do depend a huge amount on the success of these ads Pixie? Without them you wouldn't have the influx of customers for the product you sell.

Those this mean that drama could, possibly use advertisements within the programs, hence taking away from the true intent of the drama/comedy/enterainment. Oh shit I hope not, I actually watch adds and try and work out the demographic their are trying to reach, and what they are actually not saying about a product and who should buy it, and some are actually very entertaining. I still wouldn't buy off any of them though.

It's a debate that has been going on for a while and will be back in the public eye when parliament resumes. I'm not sure if Labour will do anything about before the next election.

What license savings?

The €160 I save every year by not having a TV license. Plus the €162 bi monthly for the cable.
That's €1120 back in my pocket.

It's absurd to think we pay all this money when everything is available to stream from the net, or to buy in boxset form in the bargain bin.

Surely that's a reflection of people not going out any more?

I have to say I like RTE for its sport coverage and news gathering is excellent,

The landscape is changing and no one knows how it's going to end up. Digital/Internet is the biggest thing to happen to TV since it's inception. It's not finished yet.

The problem is CZ, the stream is not as stable as cable or digital, and isn't going to be. So it's fine for the short term but when you are following a series and the net let's you down??? I just don't think people have the confidence in it. I know I wouldn't.

I sell nothing but pure pixie delight, I think you missed out on my point Hex, we either have adds, during a dramatisation, comedy, or entertainment hour or sponsorship, or we will end up having them in the programs that have being created,

**Dramatic moment**
**Hex (shocked)** But what did you say after he found out you were a life
**Pixie (confused)** I don't know, I wasn't like expecting him to appear, how dose one not sound like a ghost
**Hex (Perplexed too) I don't know, should we have a Coke Zero though

**Pixie, (brightens) Yeah sure why not, that might sort it out **head in hands**

**coke zero, right there for you**

You have a point, I'd like to see the survey and it's relevance to single people, couples and those with families. I can say that most people I know wouldn't stream as they have children and use the TV as entertainment for them, but they quite happily download their own stuff.

Exactly, folk want an appliance , a single solution in a box from one provider.
