They did a survey ehre recently and internet/TV subscriptions are the one thing families are not cutting back on.

It's absurd to think we pay all this money when everything is available to stream from the net, or to buy in boxset form in the bargain bin.

Surely that's a reflection of people not going out any more?

The landscape is changing and no one knows how it's going to end up. Digital/Internet is the biggest thing to happen to TV since it's inception. It's not finished yet.

It is but they could be doing what you are suggesting.

The problem is CZ, the stream is not as stable as cable or digital, and isn't going to be. So it's fine for the short term but when you are following a series and the net let's you down??? I just don't think people have the confidence in it. I know I wouldn't.

You have a point, I'd like to see the survey and it's relevance to single people, couples and those with families. I can say that most people I know wouldn't stream as they have children and use the TV as entertainment for them, but they quite happily download their own stuff.

Exactly, folk want an appliance , a single solution in a box from one provider.
