A Ride In A Rural Commuter Town Or Sex In The City?

# 61 : Wednesday 30-9-2009 @ 22:26

it's all a journey anyway, there is a poem called ithaca by cp cavafy that speaks of the journey being the most important thing, not the destination and a poem by ts eliot that says :

"We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring. Will be to arrive where we started. And know the place for the first time."

true. i'm not denying current day efforts or the magnitude of their ability to effect change etc i'm just asserting that the kind of individality required to organize was much more risque "back when".
and lets be honest so were the issues tackled. pop culture has seeped into social activism and political processes and protest too and not for the good all of the time. excepting resources such as indymedia. it's popular to protest but how the hell are these "indivduals" voting???

everbody is marching but nobody is striking out. its incoherent all marching to a different tune, marching to be seen on the march, behind closed doors people revert to norm (mostly).

yea tinglz it's great to love and be loved in return but I suppose I am judging the worth of love by how long it lasts, I believe love is love that last forever, do you believe in love as a truth. I don't know, clearly the older I get the less I seem to know

I'm not looking for forever, that doesnt negate the idea of love though. sure thats a great thing, even if you only have it for five minutes

loving somebody for a whole five minutes can last a lifetime, even the unrequited kind

The issues in all these movements has been the same EQUALITY. How is that less risque now? if it were less risque now would it take so much effort to effect change, I for one think not.

i think true love is what lasts when all those other variables fall aside, it is what you are left with, it's the mountain standing when the snow has melted or when the mists have cleared. I don't know what it is yet, I want to see it and I want to know it. do you think this is naive or unrealistic?

i don't think you will see it or know it, but you will feel it. i think love is the mist on that mountaint....or the snow that causes that avalanche.
its exciting, its impending dome...maybe

After many other experiences I agree with that...
