The roads are grand this morning but the footpaths are lethal.
I pulled my calf muscle again on way in to work this morning. I had already tore it two weeks ago and this morning I heard the familiar pop and then jelly running down the back of my leg. I'm so fed up of the pain

Ouch that sounds sore.

I nipped out to Dunnes Conrnelscourt yesterday to top up on a few essentials. You'd think there was a famine coming. The foothpaths were lethal and had a few wobbles on my way there and back. It turned out Friday was the worst day here as it didn't stop snowing all day.

I don't think I've ever been as happy to see some rain and I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work tommorrow!

They are secretly training you in, for babysitting duties and haven't told you yet.

I'm a bit far away for babysitting: Different county, over an hours drive (and I don't drive), and no bus route to their place.

Three human and one canine refugee in my house for the duration. The pipes in my niece's house froze on Wednesday night, so she, her partner and 2-week-old son are in my spare room.

Suddenly: a lot more washing up needs to be done regularly, are going through a lot more food, the fridge needs careful organising to fit everything in, the supply of nappies is of concern; and tracking which baby bottles are just washed versus sterilised is a fine art. ("Did you move those ones?" "No, those ones." "Are you sure?")

Wow just 2 weeks old? What a hectic time for the new mother. Hope they are settled again soon.

Went out to dig out the driveway this morning and ended up having to dig out a van and then 4 cars in a row that tried to drive past. Eventually got to do the drive after telling all the rest to turn back

You're safe then, how was your experience with a newborn and was it interesting?

It's grand. He doesn't cry too much and his parents do the donkey work of feeding, changing nappies and washing him.

The son of the Beast from the East is meant to land on us this weekend. Will ruin Paddy's day for some people.

I just hate the wind. Like the cold and snow.

Another winter wonderland to greet us when we woke up. Hopefully there will be bread on the shelves for this one
