Foreign Films

I enjoy foreign subtitled films but because they are not promoted the same way the Hollywood films are, you are never sure what you are getting.
So if you see a good foreign film bump this thread and give it a review.

Some of my top recommendations would be

Oldboy
The lives of others
Pans Labyrinth
Downfall
Dresden

Yeah, See, how did I miss this one. In animation or cartoons you can present the brutality of war without the audience having to turn away, its a strange effect and you know these things happen in all war. Everyone is dehumanised and we become the animal culture art empathy and society. prevents

I watched half a Korean film, "The Good the bad and the weird" it was all those things and very silly, I really enjoyed the bit I seen, must try catch the whole film.

What is it about the Koreans they seem to be excellent film makers.

Why did you not see the whole film? Or did you miss the first half?

I turned it on at about 1 in the morning so missed the beginning, I kept saying I will stop watching it now and see the whole gig some other time, that's what I did in the end. But the bit I seen was funny spectacular and just weird as the title goes..The trailer
