If I could go back in time and shoot one person it would be Michael Bay. And just to be ironic, I'd dive through the air in slow motion while I'm doing it.

Of course, and while a time bomb counts down to 1 and stops before blowing up.

That's a terrible shame, you're missing out on some amazing movies because of this.

You are truly missing out on some of the best films ever made, I kid you not, I am so use to them now I hardly notice the subtitles. Watch Oldboy and Pans Labyrinth and be prepared to be blown away.

I highly recommend The Millennium trilogy The girl with the dragon tattoo, The Girl who played with fire, The girl who kicked over the hornets nest a good weekend trilogy sometime.

There are very good films in English.

@lady and 4John,
I know you are right. But it is just too much work, and I never wear my glasses so it is tiring.

I suggest movies like Belleville Rendez-vous it's a French cartoon but there are very few words, and those aren't important.

But I find mostly you don't read the subtitles in movies, you can figure most of it out by cues on screen.

Of course there are but you are missing out on some great films....the majority of output from Hollywood in recent years IMO has been cookie cutter shite...this isn't the case with a lot of foreign language output

The language of a film should not be an issue in judging its quality.

Foreign films = Films in languages other than English? Is that the current understanding? For Americans, British/Australian films are foreign films.

think about it. We in Ireland look at foreign films all the time, only they're in English?

I love subtitled films not only because they're subtitled, but also because of the different perspectives and story-telling on offer.

Limiting yourself to films that only come in English... you're cutting yourself off from a wide world of films out there to be seen.

Exactly they are not the usual hollywood clones and you also experience a different culture.

Has anyone seen the French movie Irreversible(2002)?
I have never seen anything like it before. A movie has never upset me so much as that did.

OMG, that movie is so messed up! That scene with the fire extinguisher. I couldn't get it out of my head
