Oh I wasn't serious, she's quite feminine by all accounts, but her boyish hair and tats are in keeping withe the stereotype of young lesbians.

There aren't enough eye rolls in the world for this comment.

"Stereotype noun: A widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing."

Do you not understand that no one is a stereotype.

Of course a person can't be a stereotype, they can only be compared to it.

That's nice, but there was no need for the stereotype to be raised in the first place as a beauty contestant dashes it at the first hurdle.

Well, I say kudos to her. It's 2014 and her sexuality really shouldn't be an issue

I wonder if her escort knew?

No need? What a laughable criticism. There was need for the beauty/personality contest in the first instance. There was no need for this thread discussing it.

Oh those Kerry ones will do anything for a headline.
Just watch, next year's Puck Fair will feature a Gay Goat.

I love when people do well in something that is perceived to be popular with conservative, old-fashioned people
and then they come out of the closet.
Perhaps it helps people to see homosexuals as normal people.
Hopefully it will help in the upcoming referendum.

It's sad that Polo's posts had to be so tainted with misogyny and he didn't even see the show. Says a lot!

Lovely to hear so many mentions about her today at the march. She's an absolute stunner too.

You're 100% right. I'm a victim of those around me. What fiend is feeding me this misogynistic poison.

My Dad informed me this evening about the Rose of Tralee being a "queer".
I told him that girls can't be queer only fellows, that she is a lesbian.
But in a gentle way of course.
