Are You Stupid Or What?

I've done an awfully stupid thing. I started tampering with the keypad at work on the door so as to change the access code. Now the door wont lock. Anyone can walk in. I have to hang around now waiting for my brother to call me on the phone (he's a security electrician). I hope he's able to help me.

We can lock it with a key but it's inconvenient. I'm never offering to do stuff outside me remit again.

The boss knows all of this.

Oh well, my own ingenuity has saved the day again. I worked out how to sort it.

I once accidentally stole the headmaster's keys to the secondary school I was a student in.

In fact all my thieving has been accidental.

I had a job interview with a pharmacist and while I was waiting I picked up a little book about asthma and began reading.

the lady said to call back in an hour, and so I left for home. at the house I finished the asthma book closed it... saw the 4.99 price tag on the back.

came back, as I waited from the interview I had to tell the lady "look, I stole this... I though it was a free pamphlet" she looked at me and smiled, and said I could keep it. "not a great first impression" I admitted.

Got the job though. lol

Oner of the reasons I need to be so honest is because I cannot lie, as in, I lack the quick thinking and memory skills needed to keep on top of lies.

I had to come home during my dinner brake at work today.I only get half an hour and it takes me between ten to fifteen each way so its a quick dash.I got home and got what I needed to get and back to work with time to spare. All good until I got home this evening and realised Id left the front door wide open.

I don't think I'm stupid but because of my A.S. I sometimes don't understand social cues and I lack social skills. I was constantly called a "spa" in school and someone who used to babysit me once called me a "spacer". People with A.S. have to put with a lot of that I think.

Your AS does not make you stupid at all, I agree with you there.

I think it is disgraceful that you were called names.

Perhaps the lack of social skills might make some people want to be unkind in their language when dealing with people with AS.

I can be lost in my thoughts and be absent minded at times. As a result I sometimes come up with wildly impractical or 'creative' suggestions to problems, or so I was told.

I hope I'm not stupid to be trying the fake tan again, despite it always messing up my face. This time I'm mixing it with moisturiser to see if that helps.

Eamonn I know your skin is sensitive but why not just try and get a little natural sun with the weather been so nice at the moment.

Because I used a skin whitening cream in 2006-7 my skin is extremely sensitive to the sun. When I tried tanning on bad advice from a former friend in 2010, I ended up with forehead lines/wrinkles (known as photoaging) for which I had laser treatment last week. I have to be very careful around the sun. And I didn't get a tan by the way when I tried.

A doctor did a biopsy on my skin in early 2012 and concluded there is almost no melanin (tan) there but the melanocytes that produce the tan are there. He suggested UVB narrowband treatment. So that's another option I could try. It seems to help Vitiligo patients.

Have you tried a professional spray tan or do you go the diy route.
