I find this thread interesting.
Penny has it spot on.
Any deaf person I have ever met was really outgoing; maybe I am being facetious but I would imagine there is nothing a deaf person can't do that someone with perfect hearing can do, bar hearing itself.
We don't see ourselves as having a disability at all. That's why when hearing people say, you have a disability, you know, you're deaf, we have to remember their perspective.
Someone said :
there is a group of deaf people that often go the g together and seem to have such fun. its great to see them out enjoying themselves and not finding their disability anyway hindering their social life.
Would I date someone with a disability, it depends on their attitude and personality, and whether we have good communication.
