this is true....2 transgendered people were out having a social drink in a 'NORMAL(straight ???) bar ...the bar was reasonably full for a wednesday nite in october....Along side, there were 4 females accompanied by 3 guys, all aged between 24 to 32 -approx-......next thing,(after being told by females that the girls were trans), one of the guys 'shimmied' over to where the trans girls were and started doing a 'sexy' dance ... at 1st, the trans girls thought he was harmless .. but all of a sudden he pulled the hairband off the head of one of the trans girls(he nearly pulled her hair while grabbing).....to those who know the law or are up on legislation in this area, was that an assault or not???....the trans girl in question was very insulted and even though the guy continued his 'shimmy' moves, she turned and avoided him even though the females egged on the guy and took foto's of his antics....should the trans girl have called a bouncer ?? or what should she have done????.....id appreciate serious replys to this...thank you in advance...

I don't think it was assault as such but she should have let the bouncer know if she was annoyed.

He was just being a dick.

'Egged him on and took photos of his antics'... from this layman's perspective this was bang out of order.

If you feel in anyway uncomfortable with any antics of a person in any social environment, yes tell the security. Was it an assault I would say no, just a cheeky cnut.

Happens though, drink involved, thinking it will be funny.

Best to ignore them or alert a member of staff.

If she felt uncomfortable she should have told him to stop and called the bouncer if he didn't. 'Assault' sounds a bit drastic, but he was being a dick and was probably a bit drunk. Everybody comes accross people who are drunk and usually if you ignore them they go away. If they won't them you call security or ask somebody else for assistance. Usually a stiletto through his foot will do the trick

Oh come on, it's just ignorance, it's not right but those uneducated will see it as a "show"

It's going to happen always, there will always be someone who feels they need to be funny rather than face reality.

Fuck them.

Showing off to the girls by going over to the "men dressed as women".

I assume it is the same as if he annoying any cisgendered girl and pulled off her hairband.
It seems more like the guy is just a dickhead.
