A walk is not really going to do much, unless its long and fast and you are breaking a sweat. You need to do exercise on top of any diet for it to be effective, dont go believing everything they tell you .

This is true.

No matter what you read, Eamonn, you need to get a few sources of information on the effects - positive and negative - on any course of action you take. Otherwise you'll fall for scams and marketing gimics and old wives tales. And you'll be abusing your body in the mean time which will have who knows what sort of effects on your immune system and your body's ability to work properly.

If you see a nutritionist, research their advice and look for critics of it to get a balanced viewpoint. Inform yourself and dont fall for quick fixes.

On top of all that a decent exercise routine will help, and most would say it is a necessary part of managing weight - myself included.

The your goal is not solely to lose weight. It is to lose weight in a way that can be maintained without any negative side effects. You need a wider perceptive on this or you'll bounce from fad diet to fad diet for the rest of your life.

Fad diets are a horrible idea. In a nutshell the majority of them put your body into famine mode which slows down your metabolic rate to conserve energy (which you have just taken away by starving yourself) then when you start to eat again it stores it as fat in order to survive future spells of starvation.

Sure you see fantastic speedy results quickly. Most of this is water retention at the start by the way not fat at all. But in the long run you are your own worst enemy.

If you are serious about getting healthy which really should be your goal rather than just losing weight to be thinner then two words.

Proper Diet ( Nutritional intake
Exercise.

You will lose weight less quickly. But you will lose FAT rather than just water and you will not put it on again (as long as you stay active and don't go back to your old habits).

On Lipotrim you lose 1 st a month.

If you cut it to one shake a day you would lose 2 st.

That's what I think you should do.

Fad diets are complete crap if you ask me, Yes you loose alot of weight when you are on them. Especially the lipotrim diet. But once you go back to your old eating habits the weight just piles on again.

The best diet is a lifestyle diet so controlling your diet as well as introduction of exercise.

I thought you would need to be massively overweight to do lipotrim, but saw a girl who wasn't even a tiny bit chunky getting weighed in a chemist there. Shouldn't be allowed do it unless you are obese.

Proper diet with exercise is the way forward. Drinking loads of water is definitely also a must. Unfortunately not everyone likes the idea of drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day. Stagger drinking your water. For example: Have 2 glasses of water at your bedside over night and if you wake up, drink as much as you feel comfortable with. Maybe by morning you will have drunk 1 glass. If not, finish off the second one when you get up. So that's 2 glasses gone so far in your 24 hour day. Take another glass of water at 9 am, another at 12 am, another at 3pm, another at 6pm and another at 9pm. So that's seven glasses gone. Maybe slip in another glass of water at some stage during the day. If this is to much then drink herbal teas in lew of some of you glasses of water. I usually have a glass of water with 1 teaspoon of bread soda just before breakfast. Don't use baking bread soda. Use a special bread soda (without aluminium) found in health shops. This will help your colon to function a little better. An inactive colon can be a cause of people having the “beer belly” syndrome. The bread soda should enable you to eject waist a bit faster from your body.

Also avoid if possible all processed and junk foods. Also try to avoid breads, and especially avoid anything with yeast in it. Try Gluten free foods, they do not taste as horrible as they used to taste. There are some great gluten free foods out there – use them. Avoiding yeast is a great help to reduce bloating, as yeast bloats you. Especially avoid beers – the yeast in alcohol bloats. The occasional glass of wine is ok, but at the start of your diet avoid beers at all cost. More people have allergies to sugars and yeasts than people realise. Maybe you have allergies?...get some tests done to see if this is the case.

You should also take some Udos Oil or equivalent oil substitutes – a full table spoon of this each morning is excellent in helping you body function. Better still if you eat fish, but a lot of people don't. No snack foods – take fruits instead.

Losing weight is not entirely a case of just cutting back of foods, though dieting and exercise is the main way to loose weight. You need to get all the toxins out of your system as quickly as possible. Not everyone does this at the same rate. You need some assistance. For me I an conscious of how well my colon is functioning in order to keep at a good weight. As long as I have my colon in good shape, then I find that the rest is easy. Best of luck.

1. Do you ever eat anything that tastes delicious?
2. I think the serotonin released from eating deliciously unhealthy food is probably quite good for reducing stress.
3. I think a full night of uninterrupted sleep is more important than drinking millions of water.

I have actually heard contrary arguments from nutritional experts on drinking excessive amounts of water. Most of us don't drink enough. The body regulates water to control particularly the level of salt in the blood. But drinking water to excess puts your kidneys under undue pressure and it may not be able to maintain those necessary levels.

Another school of thought says after a certain amount all your are doing is unduly flushing the kidneys so there just is no point.

Anyway regardless of the school of though you follows don't gulp down gallons of it. It is advised to space out your intake to avoid water intoxication.

If you're exercising, too much water without salt can be poisonous. Water as a diet technique 'works' because it can make you feel full but that's not the healthiest of techniques.

Yep, I've heard the whole '8 glasses of water a day' thing is a fad. I drink water when I'm thirsty. If I'm not thirsty I don't drink it. Simple, and I've made it this far.

How do you know that your colon isn't fooling you into thinking that it is working perfectly fine and one day the accumulative derivations wont relatively quickly diagnose you with colonic irrigation cancer?

Perhaps he's had frequent invasive inspections by a gentleman in the Boilerhouse who told him he was a doctor?
