Resident Evil : 15 Years Of Survival Horror

# 1 : Wednesday 23-3-2011 @ 16:20

To mark the anniversary, according to Famitsu, Capcom are re-releasing HD versions of RE4 and RE : Code Veronica on PS3 and Xbox 360 together on one disc.

For fans of the series this is excellent news - I sold my N64 to play the original Resident Evil so I've always been a big fan.

Playing RE4 in HD would be a dream come true - the Wii version controls great but looks bloody awful on a big tv. Hopefully the PS3 version will be Move compatible.

I've heard great things about Code Veronica but I've never played it.

So are you a fan of the series or the survival horror genre?

I remember reading about RE2 and the fact they could now have twice the number of burning zombies on screen.

I've read this post a few times, and it might as well be written in a different language! What does it all mean?

They are re-releasing some iconic games. If you don't have a tv it's not going to impact your life as you can't play these games without one.

It means you also know nothing and have won a free pass out of the thread too.

Actually, it made me laugh, that someone would say that, because you don't know what the op says, (as it seems to be written in another language), that means you don't know anything! It's amazing how revealing we can be about ourselves when we say something like that, when we don't mean to be so revealing!

Gaming has been around for 30 odd years and has outstripped Hollywood in entertainment revenue yet people still think it`s "another language".
I wonder how they would feel about people who never opened a book,or watched a film.

Amazing how ignorance can shroud itself in snobbery.

I wonder what "people" you are referring to? I know gaming is big busines, but it's not something I am interested in or know much about, except my flight "stimlator" as my godson used to call it.

We are all "ignorant" about many things, even you, as by definition anything about which we don't know we are ignorant. For instance, I know quite a few Tabla terms, all the words to Puff The Magic dragon and what Aleatory music is. Just becasue you might not know all or some of that means you just don't know it, rather than meaning you are ignorant.
