Thats pretty fancy.

I started back cycling about 6 weeks ago, mostly in the park or along the canal - the road is a scary place - a lot of Irish road users, be they cyclists or car users really need to polish up on their rules of the road

Helmet cams are tiny and you see a lot of cyclists wearing them - why I don't know, but if I can find an example I seen a while back... make your own mind up

Found it - the driver was not charged with any offence after he admitted the attack after being told there was no video evidence

It's like an insurance policy.
In Russia almost every motorist has a dash cam
in the likely event of an accident.

American insurance companies actually give you a break if you're willing to have a dash cam in your car. Thus the endless mad youtube funnies of cars getting totaled from an in car view.

It can see how it makes sense though. Cuts down on the small claims.

I really hope the guy in Mycroft's video did follow through and report her to the guards. At very least she should be reminded to show better manners. And screaming for help was totally inappropriate. If she can't cope with interacting with other road users she shouldn't have a driving licence.

Interesting article on cycling in Vienna

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jun/16/vienna-embraces-cultu etc ...

One part struck me as interesting

At hotspots, traffic lights set with detectors are programmed to tell when cars are coming and to give priority for cyclists, so that they do not have to keep stopping and starting their journeys.

Rather than constantly complain about cyclists breaking red lights (which they do, and which is dangerous) there might be an alternative approach to solving the problem.
