It just won't go away.I was surprised that a Grand Jury after two years dropped the case.I don't know about the workings of American law but to have a Grand Jury investigate then there must be some pretty hard evidence out there. To have it dropped.......i don't know.Perhaps he has pretty powerful friends....or should i say does.

The whole sport stinks, it makes unnatural demands on participatants.

If only they would apply those same standards to the maggots who fed on the poor and raped them on the alter of greed, ruined our country to feast like pigs on an orgy of power and who still do as they laugh at our meek compliance,no,better to focus on a guy with saddle piles who rode like a hoor, and probably did or did not use drugs, bollix.

was he the guy who battled cancer and went back into cycling and nearly everyone i knew years ago had the lance armstrong - "beat cancer" bracelets and said what a hero he was how he overcame everything against the odds and came back fighting into the game?

is there enough evidence to show that he has allegedly done what he has been accused of?
i don't really know too much about it but its a terrible shame. if he tested positive - i am sure he is taking ongoing meds and sometimes drugs readings can be warped. i am sure they are tested often enough.
it also must be extremely difficult for him going through all he did.

Will be interesting to see what 60 Minutes comes up with. The sport was rife with drug abuse back in his day. Has it all been cleaned up now?

No Thomas it has not for the UCI it has but they turn a blind eye to it and in certain competitions(there was and probably still is) there is no dope control. So by that alone it is really allowing the problem to stay.

Well he was finally stripped of his Tour de France titles today and his last sponsor, Oakley, has abandoned ship. Its staggering to believe he got away with it for so long and all the people he hurt along the way.

It has shades of the Jimmy Saville controversy where someone who commands such power in the media can corrupt everyone around him.

Now it seems that Pat McQuaid, the head of the UCI was informed by Paul Kimmage and others about Armstrong's behaviour, chose to ignore it and is now claiming the moral high ground in coming out and calling for Armstrong to be stripped of everything.
Surely his position is untenable?
