They're a small team and there will be many opportunities in future issues to cover all the angles.

I hope future issues do cover it, but the small team does not justify the hagiography of a handful of people, with elaborate photoshoots while the photos of others across the country are squeezed into a small number of back pages.

So, this month GCN has an article on "Ten Questions With ... Fintan Warfield" with the following introduction

Sinn Féin's Fintant Warfield holds the record for being the first out gay Mayor in Ireland, and certainly one of the youngest ever.

That honour belongs to Ruth Illingworth, who was Mayor of Mullingar. And if you argue that a town mayor doesn't count, the record belongs to Cian O'Callaghan, who was mayor of Fingal County (and who recently served on the board of GCN's publisher, the National LGBT Federation).

I read Borstal Boy's articles sometimes but overall I don't really read it otherwise. I don't define myself only by my sexuality. Not least because that doesn't play a big role in my life.

My late platonic friend Colm used to occasionally give me some issues but I didn't read them much.

If it was "Gaming Community News" though...

I'm confused. Did GCN not become 'The Outmost'?

No. I think The Outmost is their Website but the magazine was always GCN

I haven't seen a copy of GCN in about 5 years!
Actually didn't know it was still on the go.

I'm in the "it was relevant but isn't anymore" camp.
I'm surprised it's still going tbh but if they can fund it then fair play.
