Whats The Best Movie Monster?

Who or what is your favorite movie monster.
Im quite fond of Godzilla as far as the giant monsters go, you have to hand it to the Japanese, when they want to portray America as a monster they dont fuck around.

Its also had more movies than any other monster i can think of. Even Freddy and Jason combined cant compete with Godzillas. 28 Official movies and 1 American pile of crap (with another on the way)

Although for sheer sexiness i think Alien's Alien is hard to beat.

If im going to get killed in space, where no one can here me scream, i would want that to kill me.

I loved the original Freddy movies but I haven't seen them in about 15 years. Did anyone go to the remake?

But for me, the daddy of them all is definitely the Alien monster. Ridley Scott + HR Giger's creation is stunning. As Ash says in the movie, "its the perfect organism."

I cannot wait for Prometheus.

Hard to beat alien.
The monster in the thing was pretty immense.
I would also add the worms in tremors, the predator, and pumpkinhead!

With regards more recent films I loved the film trick r treat and the little monster Sam

The Host

Feast

Alien is pretty cool alright, it is very "scarily" monstrous as opposed to Godzilla which whilst being huge and dangerous doesn't really scare me so much as just make me want to move out of the way.

I don't know if zombies count but if they do they definitely are my most loathed of monsters.

I don;t know if this applies, but you did say "Who or what " movie monster.

The vortex in the Day After Tomorrow, that freezes everything on impact.

For me anyway, that is one metaphorical helluva scary monster. Of course it's a pile of unscientific crap but it's a great flick to watch.

the helicopter freezing scene

New York freezing over scene

If you wish to have a tangible monster, I always loved the living skeletons. (I'm a big Ray Harryhausen fan)

To see them in action:

Whatever it was, it was very efficient.
Although the real monster was the Shark (and the mayor)

I always found the face huggers to be scarier than the Aliens themselves.

And then there's the terrifying Sully...

...and in some of the films he morphs into the hero by battling other monsters such as Mothra. You just can't beat the franchise and it's meticulously handcrafted miniature trains, houses, jets etc...enjoyed them all as a kid.
