Are you rude? Maybe you are one of those people who just couldn't give a shirra what people think and just say and do everything you like? I recently got called rude, again, and it made me wonder... am I?

We interact with hundreds of people a week in various ways, conversations, pleasantries, enquires and even just by being around them. We can be so courteous to friends and yet ignorant to strangers without even knowing it. Personally in the real world I think I am very polite, always say hello goodbye, thanks etc. wait for people to leave a building/bus before trying to enter. I do get told I can be very matter of fact and harsh occasionally but I've never been called rude in real life and the people I deal with would defo have said it to me. Online I do get called it far to often for my own liking even in spite of efforts to not be.

So how rude are ye really? Is it something you try and resist or do you enjoy the occasional hard noised approach?

Nope I am a prude. Might have something to do with my Asperger Syndrome, which causes its sufferers to take everything literally. So I have trouble with figures of speech and want to say what I mean in the literal sense. That means excluding slang and only using words that mean something literal with respect to the point I am trying to make.

Well you get plus points for using the word folly anyway, and for looking like Mr Quinto

No one willing to admit a bit of rudeness? Even just "alleged" rudeness?

I think if we are honest we are all quite rude some of the time. Not necessarily on purpose or consciously but I find it difficult to imagine an individual who was never rude.

Really? I'd never have guessed. In what way?

I think sometimes I don't behave to proper nicities cos I'm just like 'eh no...it's my turn'. Like I might not let some old lady infront of me in the shops or something if I've been waiting ages...

i can be rude in return to someone being rude to me. but i dont set out to be rude to people in general as there is no point.

had a head to head with a recruitment agency today and the girl on the phone was, in my opinion, quiet rude and uninterested - so i got exceptionally rude to her on the phone and have no regrets at bringin her down a peg or two.

its her job to be co-operative and helpful - not to start a conversation with attitude - wrong person darlin.
