That's not saying much.

I'm disappointed but congratulations all the same. The fact remains though that the media handed him this in the last few days with the setup on Frontline. The audience was stacked against Gallagher from the start. He was ruthlessly smeared based on the word of 2 former convicted criminals.

Any word on the referendums?

I doubt he ever had the support the media were saying he had, if anything they were giving him more credit than he deserved.

I mean the studio audience. Didn't seem representative of what the polls were saying at the time. It was a setup. The use of a fake SF twitter account by RTE was very unprofessional. It was a victory for smears.

He gave terrible answers. He messed up! 5 candidates have supporters who think the media were against them. The media were cunts in this campaign but the idea that they all just piled in on Gallagher is laughable! Go on to any social media site. The general tide had turned against him over the weekend and that is what was represented in the debate.

Actually the way the campaign progressed yes - I do think the media were biased against all the candidates except Michael D. He didn't get a single tough question in the entire campaign.

On a positive note, at least the Oireachtas Inquiry referendum looks sunk according to initial tallies.
