Good work greenman!

I also enjoyed the link Horatio posted earlier today - a great read. Depression can hit when your single / coupled, living alone or with friends & family.

Yeah it just shows you it can strike anyone at any time, you dont have to be famous or an ordinary person. Its the reality of accepting it and recognise it when its happening is half the battle.

Glad to hear things are looking up Greenman.

I know all too well about depression and how it can hold a person down on the ground and suffocate their spirit.

To be perfectly honest my mood has been rather low the past week - to the point where my anxiety and depression have been such that I've spent most of the past few days up in bed.

It seems safer and more secure to be cocooned in bed than going out and interacting with others. I know this will pass but the fact that January in any case is a depressing month in itself isn't helping.

...Stay in touch with family and friends Jupiter, let them know you are down..If you see a Doc for depression, make them aware that you are in a slump..

sorry to hear that JK, I know exactly what you mean. Anxiety/Depression is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and it so hard to make people understand how this can take hold of you.

I hope you feel better soon mate. Hang in there, spring's a com in'.

Cheers for the well wishes guys - I WILL get out of this funk. I think part of it is January being a crappy, depressing month anyway, part of it is my lack of progress in my career, my father's illness and turning 40 later this year - all feeding into my anxiety and low mood.
