All remember the movie, where the child goes up and asks for more porridge in the poor house. There'll be cartoons shortly, showing kids asking for bowls of water and mobiles hanging out their back pocket!

That was brilliant..... giving out about charges and filming everything on their brand new iPhones. The irony - like the Dole queue on a Wednesday morning.

I was laughing at it, not agreeing with her and she getting thousands in expenses to buy these things from the people. She says, are living the good life and she's bang out of order. Do they think, people should sit on crates and eat bread. So they can look after themselves, their friends and give contracts to companies with a dodgy past?

Who are you to say what people can and can't spend their money on...
We live in a free market economy, which is why water is being commercialised, the question is whether that is just or not.

Apparently the number was closer to 100,000. Another march of this magnitude and the government can't ignore it.

Water charges realistically have to go ahead in some form. The rest of Europe has them. On the other hand the water infrastructure especially in parts of the West of Ireland has not been upgraded since Victoria was on the throne and that too is unacceptable. The system should take account of one's ability to pay.

The people are already taxed up to their tits, they don't get value for what they pay and Austerity only seems to be for the ordinary folk. No reforms still, no tax loopholes closed and way too many overpaid politicians for a tiny country!

Did you come on here, to talk out your arse or take it up there from the Government?

We are in deep debt-fact- Because private debts of banks were put on public books!
If all the other Countries, jumped off a cliff? Does that mean we should too? Water is already paid for, 1.2 billion to be exact and where is that money now? It's being used to pay, the european bondholders that could've been burnt. Fact! Irish citizens, are taxed up to their necks and don't get value for their tax money. Bins are privatised now, where are the taxes that paid for that service and did you get your refund?

Encountered anti water-charges march in Wexford town this afternoon. Some were dressed as grim reaper. They shouted something like "You say cut backs - we say fight back".

Anyone know, where the position of CEO was advertised and who did the interview for the job? Who appointed him, where should I go to get the information?
