Yes it is possible, but (seemingly) expensive, which is why Mary Harney only advocated it's use for girls on the taxpayers purse.

as well as other groups on http://www.lgbt.ie/information.aspx?contentid=11

According to http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/STDFact-HPV-vaccine-young-women.htm
What about vaccinating boys and men?
The quadrivalent vaccine is also safe and effective for males ages 9 through 26 years. It is licensed by the FDA for prevention of anal cancer and genital warts. Since October 2009, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice’s guidance has been that the 3-dose series of quadrivalent HPV vaccine may be given to males aged 9 through 26 years to reduce their likelihood of acquiring genital warts. The vaccine is not routinely recommended for administration to males.

Cost and Paying for the HPV vaccine
As of July 18, 2011, the retail price of the vaccine is about $130 per dose ($390 for full series).

It is a US website and price, but should give you a guideline.
Note how it only works to prevent, not to cure.
Also note that your age may be an issue.

Young gay men should get HPV jab
The human papillomavirus (HPV) jab should be offered to young gay men because they have an increased risk of developing cancer, research has shown.

According to a study published in Sexually Transmitted Infections, young gay men are 15 times more likely to develop genital cancer than straight men.

The researchers claim that it would be more cost effective to the NHS to offer young gay men the HPV vaccine than to treat cancers.

With more than 17,000 gay men aged between 16 and 26 visiting sexual health clinics in England per year, the researchers argue that they would be “ideally placed”.

The vaccine is most effective in those who are not already infected with HPV, but evidence shows that only a minority of young men who have sex with men (MSM) are.

Data from the UK’s Health Protection Agency (now part of Public Health England) showed that fewer than one in 20 men under the age of 25 had been infected by any high risk HPV strain.

The researchers said: “In the light of this evidence, and in the absence of universal vaccination of boys, the argument for introducing targeted HPV vaccination for [men who have sex with men] up to age 26 years is strong.”

The vaccine covers HPV 16 and 18, the two strains which account for most of the cancers associated with the infection.

The vaccination programme against HPV infection began in 2008 in the UK, but only among girls, on the grounds that this would curb the spread of the infection to boys as well.

Why only younger gay men?

Why only younger gay men?

Perhaps it is the same expense based rationale as Mango mentioned in relation to Mary Harney?

Who said young people should be vaccinated against Mary Harney? That's taking things a bit far.

Does Gay Mens Health Service discriminate?
Would they refuse to vaccinate him?
He could say he's been feeling a bit queer lately...

I'm totally paranoid about these cancers after Michael Douglass's experiences. Cancer as an STD is just not fair. They don't vaccinate against HPV at GMHS, in fact I don't think it's approved for men here at all but you can probably get it north of the border.

But sure don't most people have HPV anyway, there's point getting past a certain age.

Yes but there are gazillions of strains of HPV, only a few are associated with cancers

Bull... they cannot discriminate in such a way.
Would they refer a bisexual man somewhere else if he told them he thinks he caught something from a woman? (The question infers "in your mind"...)

Plus nothing tells me he is not gay in his OP or in his description.
(I did not check his profile, and will certainly not check a profile before providing advice/answer a question. And I should nto either have a full reveiw of his past posts to evaluate his sexuality: I do not discriminate on ground of gender, sexuality or Facebook status)
