My Dentist Is A Sadist!

So, I chipped my tooth last week (abject horror, you can't imagine). Had my appointment this evening. She took great delight in telling me she couldn't file it and I saw a glint when she said the magic words...filling...then I'll CLEAN THEM.
I spent the next 30 minutes in annoying sharp pain and being showered in my own saliva being splashed back by the tools, alas the dental nurse was not good at the suction.
I really think she loved it, she kept saying I'm killing you here'
I'd like to keep this space for those suffering at the hands of evil dentists...

I hate the dentist bad experience as a child and I'm really nuts about looking after my teeth. I'm 30 and have no fillings but I do have a couple of super numerary teeth and I had to have one removed christmas week just gone because it was pushing down between 2 teeth and pushing them out of place. It was a nightmare I think the dentist took extra pleasure because all I ever need is my teeth cleaned. Anyway he used this spreader thing to move my teeth slightly apart so he could pull out the tooth that shouldn't have been there. It hurt like a son of a b**ch let me tell you even for a while afterwards!!!

Modern dentistry is practically painless,if yours is a shit, just stop going there, there is no need to suffer, most of the pain is in the pre visit anxiety, not in the treatment itself.

Er, disagree slightly, sensitive teeth can't be changed by chaging your sadist. I mean dentist.

Dentists used to be like that, and cartoons and mad stories compounded the fear to make any normal procedure induce a fear of torture in otherwise normal people,I used to be the same until I ditched that outdated irrational crap from my brain unit.If anyone prefers to suffer until the inevitable visit that will stop that pain in it's tracks, then go for the IV that will knock you out totally, just like a normal hospital operation, but please don't confuse pre dentistry paranoia with the actual thing itself, why inflict that misery on yourself????

With all the modern tools it shouldn't have been that harsh. I'd find a new dentist

Modern dentits use advance technology whic is practically painless, but if you are going to a dentist using old tools stop going and search for another modern dentist to avoid pain.

I highly recommend my dentist. He's a ride. Can't wait to get my next wisdom tooth out.

Is it just your tooth he'll be whipping out?

'You will feel a little prick in your mouth.'

Not that little I hope.
