I got a filing done in one of my back teeth about 6 months ago but that areas been a bit sensitive the last few days - I'm not in pain or anything just a bit uncomfortable will probably need to have it checked

I had a crown implant in the top front 10 years ago by a dentist in Dublin. In fitting the implant he broke the bone bridge under my nose - he was a sadist in the true sense of the word. As there's no bone to hold it I end up going back to the dentist every 6 months as it becomes loose - woke up this morning with it practically swimming in my mouth. So - back to my Cork dentist, a cute lad with a pert bum and a pert manner to match. Keeps telling me that he's married with a child, I feel like saying "well you're still gay!".

At the dentist today, have to get two wisdom teeth out and one will cost €85 but the other will cost me nearly €500. Just when I was finally getting a few quid to myself and now I will have to borrow money to cover this.

I know huge numbers of people who travel North for treatment, before they would pay those costs..

Yeah my cousin traveled north to have her braces done. I still can't believe they charge so much for dental work.

Well it's oral surgery so includes sedation I suppose, my VHI might cover half of it.

I got 2 wisdom teeth taken out in a dental clinic in Harcourt St for e490. They were underneath gum so had to slit gums to get to them. But that dentist was fab and the aftercare great.
My health insurance covered 90% of the cost.
Best of luck.
