It is possible to work it out, though.

This thread conjures up different types of thoughts in me. For example, if an individual is blind from birth and they also happen to be gay. How do they realise that they are attracted to men/women? I know a large part of attraction is chemical and a meeting of minds but a MASSIVE part of it is a physical attraction too. I like women because they look like women, and I like how they are feminine and sensitive. However, it is most definitely the attraction to the physicality of a women that I love and made me realise I am in fact gay.

Polo do you find you're as choosy about a partner's looks as you were when you had sight when it comes to men? Or do you rely on you're friends to tell you how a suitor looks? I hope technology finds a way in time of returning your sight by the way. I saw something on Fox News recently about this.

hello there.
maybe some of the issues you have might be similar to people with other disabilities, physically disabled or deaf people.

I'm sure there are some support groups who might be able to offer advice or support.

In The George before I was surprised to see a big group of deaf (presumably gay) people on a night out signing away to one another.

Did I assume that there were no deaf gay people?, I don't know.

I remember seeing a cute young Brazilian lad out on the scene a few times. He was totally blind and had a few gay Brazilian buddies who used to bring him around the George, Panti's, etc. I also used to see him on the Luas going off to work in Microsoft in Sandyford. I used to enjoy seeing him- such a happy smiley guy. I wonder what became of him. I suppose he eventually returned to Brazil.

What an insane thread.

Naturally if you have any hang ups about your blindness, people will pick that up consciously.

I got that big time in the opening thread.

Why were you surprised? A lot of Deaf people are on the scene. A lot of them, in turn, are major party people.

Those deaf people are lucky because I can't handle loud music.

I'm Deaf myself and I don't like crowds.

These Deaf people (Note the Capital D, not the small case d) are into music and the nightlife. They love crowds. I have a fair idea of the people concerned. If I am right, they LOVE loud music and partying.

We all have our own things.

How can you love loud music if you can't hear it Intrepid?
