Well does he really count as a lover if it only happened once anyway?

Send him one last email. Tell him you can see he is upset by the way he felt he was treated and that you are sorry if he feels that you failed to communicate properly with him.
So be upfront. Tell him in a nice way that it just didn't click for you, he is a lovely guy but you really don't want to lead him on.

That's what I have done in reply to the latest email from him - we will see how it goes.

Sounds like you are better off without him.

There is nothing that annoys more than this constant need for attention from guys that you might find yourself going on a couple of dates with. Texting you morning, noon and night would put me right off.

I had two idiots message me on Gaydar during the weekend asking me “Am I your type?” My lack of response will hopefully be a subtle hint to them that I was ignoring their pathetic need for attention.

What is almost comical is that after telling me I am this & that - (not nice things) he always finishes with 'youll never hear from me again' but I still do on a daily basis for the past two weeks.

Wouldn't a polite email saying no thanks be nicer? And why are they idiots?

No, because I had no interest in conversing with them. It's pretty common knowledge that gaydar is full of timewasters these days.

Just because you're not sexually interested in someone, does that mean you can't be polite to them?

And if Gaydar is full of time waters what are you doing there in the first place?

In my experience men tend not to be polite when it comes to rejection. It was 11 yrs ago when I had to reject someone because I found their appearance very very unattractive. I am polite to my fingertips but a lot of young men are not, based on the "nice guys finish last" mantra popularised in the 1990's.

I ignored them. I am perfectly entitled to do so. Happens with everyone. If they sent me a message saying "hello, how are you" then I would have replied and engaged in polite coversation with them. With these two people, all I got was " Am I your type?" It more or less set the alarm bells ringing for me. Why should I engage in a conversation with someone that I have no interest in? Do you expect all guys to reply to you everytime you might message them on a site like that? I think not!

It's none of your business really what I am doing on Gaydar, manhunt, POF or even Grindr for that matter!
