It will be amusing watching people who invested in an unconfirmed story now switch their belief 180degrees based in another unconfirmed story. It's slightly paradoxical.

So, it could just as well be someone as ill-informed and hysterical as those who initially embraced this sorry tale with such gusto.

There is no concrete update by the looks of things. The whole "Spargate" fuss appears to have died down.

I wouldn't use those as examples.
Firstly those two are official organisations and have committees and management that are easy to find out.
Who runs this gay Dublin page?
And secondly it's a Facebook profile page and not a 'like' page which breaches Facebooks terms.
Also there's this sentence I don't particularly like
"What disgusting individuals these 2 men are, hopefully people will let them know of that fact if they are to ever show their faces around."

There is nothing on that page that suggests it is in any way legit , or run by someone with any common sense.

The dangers of the web... any story can be transformed into a massive incident, true or false. Either way one or more of the people involved face problems now and their reputation is or will be gone. And the other side has to live with that knowledge, to possibly have impacted someone else's life in such a negative way - wouldn't feel comfortable with that either...

This just goes to show that there are indeed two sides to every story. People are too quick to jump on the bandwagon and cast judgements.

Anyway on a side note, I walked past the "infamous" Spar shop on Friday and noticed that they had extended the premises into where the old Philips / Sony shop used to be. ( I hadn't been in town for a few weeks )

That bloody facebook page is way more suspect than the original story. If it is an attempt to clear the bouncers name its one of the worst attempts I've ever seen. Where is the backup for this nonsense?
