Have you noticed the increasing number of food manufacturers that are decreasing the size, count and volume of their products?Yesterday I bought a Cadbury snack supposedly with 6 biscuits when I opened it there are only 4 --- 33% less but charging Euro 1.50 which is the equivalent of a 33% increase .Cadburys have also reduced the size of their chocolate bars and in some shops you can pay up to 1.50Euro.I bought a pack of fairy cakes in Centra also there used to be 12 cakes in a pack for 2Euro now only 9 in the pack. I have been told that this is stealth pricing Now when I see a product saying "20% off% or "33% less" it takes on a different meaning.I invite other members to submit their examples of Stealth pricing because we as Irish consumers as usual take this with passive resignation

This is a classic and regular marketing ploy.
It became a standard practice as early, or before, the introduction of the Euro...

Ah ha very good
Just didn't think of that as an urban bird but they can be. They can be very loud especially when it's quiet out.

I'm expecting a painter tomorrow morning to give me a quote for painting my apartment. Does anybody have a rough estimate of how much it might be? It consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, hall and stairs, living room and kitchen and all ceilings (the bathrooms are fully tiled so it's just the ceilings there). Any handy man give an estimate? I'm guessing around €1,200. Am I far out?
Oh yeah and I might as well get the skirting boards done too while I'm at it.

Why do some people insist on wearing earphones when out walking with their dog? I think it's terrible altogether.

Assuming there are no hard to reach spots you are better off doing it yourself over a few weekends.
