Would the Wrecking Ball video have been banned?

And if not which male celeb would you like to see in it? It's Colin Farrell for me.

I feel there's a gross societal double standard in questions of male/female nudity in popular culture which it could be argued is sexist.

I don't think it would be banned but I think it would likely be played for laughs
if it was a man doing it. The irony that in antiquity the female nude was
seen as frivolous whilst the male nude was seen as heroic,whilst now the female
is seen as aesthetically pleasing and the male in general is played for laughs
in advertising and music videos.... even male strip acts usually have an element
of comedy

Im not sure Id like to see any man doing the Wrecking Ball,but if I had to
it would be Paul O Connell (Christ Id wreck his balls.....im off for a cold shower)

To show how open she was, how raw she was. It expresses her deep yearning also... which she can't hide because she is so open... and probably wet.

Well I feel that if there was a naked man swinging around on a wrecking ball in a music video it would provoke much harsher criticism (wrongly). On a broader societal scale we also notice this in billnoard advertising,in terms of the sexualisation of women to sell products like Hunky Doreys crisps in a way that doesn't happen with men. And that seems discriminatory and to promote the objectivation of one gender over another.

Yes because one gender has more of a tendency to objectify than they other.
