I actually loved seeing that,so profound, sacred and final, leaving the cloak behind as the spirit soars skywards.

I was outraged by the Abu Ghraib photos that appeared on the news of US soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners.

A hostage beheading - I guess on some level I thought this is just another gross thing from the webs but it was so much worse than that in reality.

That was truly horrific, but it was the sounds that got to me more than anything.

There is one doing the rounds lately of a cartel killing of two men. The first is killed with a chainsaw (ala scarface) the second is shot i think.

I think you have to learn from everything you witness.

Yes theres certainly things ive seen which have haunted me.Mainly tragic things
and at the time id have given anything to unsee them

But sadly with time it often becomes a fact that those moments for better or worse become as precious as diamonds and have to be integrated in to your psyche

Finding the body of a young man who had fallen from our apartment block roof is probably the one thing out of all the bad shit i have seen that i wish i could erase from my memory. That really affected me for a long time after, and still does in some ways.

I was once looking at a horse when I was a child, it was the first horse I ever saw very close up, no fence, and he wasn't timid/running away. Just me and a horse.

I though to myself "I wonder why so many people think these animals are so beautiful" etc so I really tried (as best a young boy could) to try find see the beauty of this particular horse.

Them he started making this face (the horse) and swooped his head back and over slowly with his eyes wide open.
Then he made the biggest snot I ever saw in my life. I nearly vomited when it hit the ground. I was so long it had time to swirl like a chain or heavy rope does as it falls to the ground.

There's certain songs I'd like to un-hear. Anything by The Script or Nickelback, for a start.

I saw someone reach into their pants and take out a lump of poo to eat. That shook me to the core, so much, that at the time I didn't react at all.
