Yes by Dermot Ahern. It created an offence of "blasphemous libel".

Which Muslim countries like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have seized upon to justify their own laws which include executions for the 'offence'.

Yes, laws passed in Ireland have directly affected people being put to death in Pakistan.

The current Blasphemy laws terrify me to be honest. I was genuinely shocked
at their redefinitions, I honestly would've thought they'd be binned entirely.

I think quite a lot of thought went in to them being used for the benefits
of "multicultural" Ireland as much as protecting Catholics

But they are a dangerous tool for oppression and tyranny
