In fairness, there are a lot of other different scenes too.

I find it impossible to determine the sincerity of your posts Elat.

I mean I am not thrilled about it and maybe I am a bit jaded but this just makes me think... bleh.

Well on the face of it we can't possibly know the motivations that made this happen. But f it, there's a few too many toys in the bloody pram!

I really despair at some people hopping up and down and SCREAMING homophobia about this.

Ah it'll make an SU or two feel relevant in the new year.

I don't think that there is much point in trying to second guess why the gay marriage section was removed from the Irish version of the coke advert. There could be a very simple explanation but either way I don't think that the people who make these decisions will tell us. I also don't think that there is anything to get upset about, they don't say that being gay is wrong nor do they condemn people who are gay. Companies like this produce many adverts each year which try to sell their product on a world wide basis and then they try to tweek the adverts to particular audiences, that is just what they are doing here and not saying anything, oneway or another about gay people.

I think the omission speaks volumes. No matter what they're intentions were, by doing this they're saying gay relationships and in particular gay marriage is somehow wrong.

I think it is a huge hullabaloo over a small thing.

I disagree. We need more positive displays of gay relationships in the media, and taht includes commercials.
