Good luck with the z3 Thomas I got the Huawei P8.
I haven't completely given up on my old Xperia. The touchscreen is inoperative but there's still a picture. Looking at getting a cable called a usb OTG cable to try and retrieve photos off the phone.

Might be easier to use a regular micro USB cable and hook it up to a PC or laptop. You might already have this cable as part of your charger.

A mate of mine switched to a big Sony phone after having a Samsung Galaxy (that looked like a tablet) and He's loving the Sony.

I think it's a Z5 he has.
It's a nice looking phone.

I had too much security on the phone. There's a pin and a swipe pattern to get past before I can retrieve the files.
I think I can plug in a computer mouse with this otc cable to get past security.

Is that the regular size or compact? I really like the compact model myself.

Out of contract with my current phone and even though it's still working fine i'm window shopping again for a more up to date phone.
There are so much smartphones out there it's confusing.
Kind of have it narrowed down to either the new Samsung A7 which is a mid range phone but has pretty decent storage of 64gb and a triple camera, or the Huawei P20 pro which has 128GB of storage and a super duper tripple camera. But I would have to fork out some money up front for it.

Imported a P20 SIM free last month and nearly lobbed it out the window after a few days. It was so laggy, drove me insane, so I switched to a cheaper Mi A2 and it performs so much better (runs Android one).

I have an Amazfit smart watch made by Mi - very impressed with it. The battery lasts for a month.

As for phones, I think I will probably get the next Xperia compact model - their latest full size model looks stunning and I hope the compact has that design too.

Thanks Super4 for that information. I assume you bought off Gearbest or a similar website? Any sellers to avoid?
