This month's People's Debate on TV3 is on the topic of "Is Ireland Homophobic?"

After Pantigate, this could be an interesting watch.

It's on tomorrow night at 10pm

His presenting skills are never up to scratch but he doesn't beat about the bush when trying to get a direct response from a waffling politician.

The only person I would prefer more than Vincent Browne is Matt Cooper. Both of them aren't shy about going a little unbalanced when they need to be. Not every debate or issue should have 50/50 representation.

definitely still alive. A lot of it isn't directly to a gay persons face but ignorant little conversations behind peoples backs. Ive been privy to quite a few cos stupidly people dont realise im gay sometimes, probably the blind thing. Its even among people with college educations who have plenty of gay social acquaintances.

I hope they have homophobes on it so their lies can be debunked in front of millions of people, which may increase the yes vote next year.

This is so true. I don't seem to register on a lot of peoples gaydar either, and I think in the business I'm in at the moment people are so PC about it publicly, because they feel they have to, but in private a lot (not all) of them still think that it is OK to have their jokes/snide remarks about homosexuality.I do think it is changing though, but at a slow pace. Anyway the only way to deal with it is to own what you are and no matter what anyone says about it, then it cant hurt you

Listen people will always make stupid comments be that you are gay, of a different race, different nationality and so on. It really is there problem. I had a couple recently who referred to the waiter as The Polak ... Then complained he was unfriendly. Some people are thick and ignorant ... That will sadly never change they will always exist in their little bigotry bubble.

To answer who I would prefer, I don't honestly know Miriam maybe. Brown is to inclined to express his own views, to impose them even rather than allow debate

Borstalboy and Max from LGBT Noise will be participating.

Not sure which side they are on though.
