There are all kinds of carbs (by which I mean foods that have a significant amount of carbs) from bread to sugar to potatoes, pasta, grains, rice, all.... basically all the foods that are quickly made into different sugars as soon as you eat them. Sugars here is not the shit you buy at the store but the simpler sugars like glucose that your body will be using for energy.
Obviously some carbs are way better. Sugar and white bread are useless, basically just calories with little nutrients, sugar especially is poison.
Things like grains have and pulses have carbs too but also plenty other good nutrients plus fiber, as well as taste. So eating beans is always preferable to eating bread.
