I'm on holidays from this evening. I am also on a muscle relaxant to deal with a problem inthe shoulder. The muscle relaxant must not be mixed with alcohol. But I wouldlike a glass of wine seeing as I have no work inthe morning/

So, gaireans, your vote of the evening is:

Do I skip the tablet and have a vino? or
Do I skip the vino and take the tablet?

Hmmm... seeing as alcohool is itself a muscle relaxant I would skip the tablet and have a glasss if you really must have wine tonight.

But also consider how serious the injury is and the possible consequences of skipping your medication.

I would be very very wary of mixing wine and muscle relaxants! You don't know how strong they are and if they're strong enough it could even cause respiratory failure when mixed with alcohool.

Mixing I will not do. It's rare I am prescribed medication that says do not take alcohol.

The pain has eased. (On Saturday, every time I moved in bed I woke up and getting up on Sunday morning involved a novel exercise where essentiall I let legs and bum fall out of to that my arms and back were not involved in lifting me upright.)
