Polo. don't know Dublin that well, but there are a few places down towards the point, back of Jury's inn and onward.Had real good meal there a few times last year.

Trinity college and that funny circular little park thing ( and nobody say I was taken to a roundabout) it's in the city center, it's nice has trees and seats, are both nice for a picnic .
Though watch out for those seagulls, some of them can swallow baby rabbits :-o whole!

The central area is circular but (a) it is not the park and (is regularly bedecked with "stay off the grass" signs, which would hardly make it suitable for al fresco dining!!

im not really one for sipping wine out of brown paper bags so really what i was thinking of is somewhere with nice food and drink and an outdoor terrace.
