Skinny: Can It Be As Bad As Fat?

# 16 : Monday 3-11-2014 @ 20:33

As sarah silverman says: "we're all just molecules cutie". Re the thread, you see I plan to pit fat people against skinny people in an all out war and hope the two groups self destruct. No I was just giving fat a break. There are several threads here about fat, negative ones, but I rarely recall seeing any skinny ones.

I didn't mean that any shape is in itself bad but there are certain shapes that seem to get a lot of bad press and IMO fat is very often portrayed as being unnatractive (sexually unaatractive) so I was just looking at the other side.

Yet the opening question....
Is one as bad the other.....Out of interest, just what is in your mind the perfect shape?....

The perfect shape for me sexually???? Cos I don't have one that applies to people I'm not attracted to... and even the perfect shape would quite a loose definition for me sexually depending on all the other characteristics...

Optimum weight arrived at through a healthy diet and moderate exercise is the best.
Fat or thin then is bad and depending how you arrive at either can be as unhealthy.

No not sexualy...
Your opening post already covers exactly what shape you find sexualy attractive and which one makes you feel.uncomfortable..
I am asking out of interest, you appear to have an aversion against very thin shapes, so I am wondering exactly what in your mind is acceptable..

Oh right, no as I said I don't have one in general, only when it comes to what i find sexually attractive. Just thinking of celebs, different people look good at different weights. But as I said this thread isn't about rating people in general, it's about what people find attractive.

Is that not one in the same no? You're asking people their preference: slim or fuller figured. That is rating them.

I agree, the opening question is pointing towards rating other's on their body shape...
Using the word BAD attaches a negativity and I am at a loss to understand how another's shape would make him.feel uncomfortable...

It's likely a physical thing. Have you never had a bony person sit on your lap? Ouch!

Lets dispense with the notion that this thread was set up as a some sort of act of private charity to fatties. It was about which is more off-putting and 'bad'. It is an open invitation for nastiness.

^ Ditto. And it's exactly that sort of body shaming attitude that skinny folks like myself are up against on a daily basis.
