1200 years ago the Norwegian vikings stole women from Donegal and took them to Iceland as 'wives'.
They were allowed to speak Gaelic to each other but not to their children.
They knew their civilization was being exterminated but they fought back.
Although the words are Norse - the music is from Donegal 1200 years ago.
This wonderful music is pretty much dead in Donegal now - but it is still alive in Iceland.
