Time will be made for a referendum if such is the will of the British people.
Europe has always extended deadlines and made time when time was needed.
The only question is: will the UK get MP's during the extension?
- If they do not, how to make sure the parliament is legally constituted, while the UK remains an MP-less member;
- If they do, how will it affect the extra MP's other countries like Ireland are suppose to get:
* Will they be elected and put on ice, maybe for the hole term if the UK pulls out of pulling out eventually ?
* Will they only go to ballot if and when the UK leaves? [Most likely scenario)
Good luck to the UK candidates if they join the ballot!
I could have written the Brexit script...
More time was given.
MEP's or no MEP has been a central question and the last pressure point for May.
Turning back to the people to ask "Deal rejected by MP's, or no deal, or withdrawing Article 50 and forgetting about the whole silly thing".
Bless the UK and the potential for referendums that are not limited to a Tá/Níl answer! It should be fun to watch.
