Donald Trump As US Republican Presidential Nominee?

# 1 : Monday 21-9-2015 @ 02:15

The latest NBC poll puts Donald Trump topping the polls at 29% for the republican nominee of the US presidential election with Fiorina in second place at 11%. A staggering lead.

Do you think Donald Trump will take the republican nomination? Should we be scared if he does?

I think hes doing well because he is against Political Correctness and the war on free speech by the Left. He reflects concerns about illegal immigration. At the same time he makes clear that good people will be allowed in so is not a racist stance. On the other hand he has said horrible things about women. People also admire his business expertise.

I think as the Establishment figures drop out, he will gradually be defeated for GOP nomination but it will take a long time with 15 candidates. Historically the RNC usually gets its way on the nomination. There hasn't been an upset for a very long time in that regard unlike 2008 in the Democratic camp.

By the way the poll I saw today was different to yours, with Trump leading her 24-15. I think she made a powerful argument about the video of a Planned Parenthood woman saying she had to keep a fully formed baby from a failed abortion alive so its brains could be harvested. It is barbaric - whatever you think on abortion - that the children of failed abortions should be treated as little more than raw materials in some Mengele-type process of exploitation.

I seriously doubt if he will be successful.
Trump is a pure racist and the vast majority of Conservatives will not wish to be linked to the man,the media coverage of his racist rantings, orchestrated by himself will hopefully put an end to his campaign.

I don't think he will get the nomination, but he plans to run anyway.

It would be nice to think so but I didn't think George W would get the nomination nevermind win the presidential election, TWICE! Never underdstimate the stupidity of the American electorate.

Anyone remember Goats don't Shave?
They were a band from the eighties or early nineties.
They seem to have had a telepathic time travelling link with Donald Trump.
Some quotes from their songs..."we'll build a wall around auld Donegal" similar to Donald Trumps wall between Mexico and the US.
Also "Donald Trump would buy a chunk to live in solitaire".

It's a bit uncanny to connections.

He is also the only candidate who says he would get along with Putin. It's possible this may win him votes from more dovish Republicans and Democrats.

I'm really starting to like Fiorina. I don't know all her policies but hopefully she's a good candidate. Would be great to see two women head on for the presidential election.
