Clubs Start Too Late Or I'm Too Old

# 16 : Wednesday 30-9-2015 @ 16:33

I'm not really a clubbing person after spending years working in them as a DJ, but had a great night out recently after a group dinner with friends and a few drinks afterwards.
One other couple wanted to keep the night going, so we went to a club (can't remember the name), music wasn't 'Oonsah Oosah' crap and we enjoyed some pizza from DiFontaines afterwards.

Great night... Can't imagine I'd like it to last until 7am though?

My nineties were spent mostly in Lisbon.

Though I did study for a semester in Salford Uni (basically Manchester) in 1998. That was after the Madchester days, though.

Tsk tsk.... You obviously didn't deserve to go if all you did was go to an American franchise restaurant and don't even remember anything else.

Very disappoints!

Got pissed first in fairness and walked about the place.
Don't think I met a single Portuguese while there.
Just Nigerians trying to get me to buy tickets to walk on a path or something?

My clubbing days are well and truly over - and have been for years. Since I don't drink any more I really don't see the point.

Give me a nice dinner out with friends and home to a good book any day!

It's true Lisbon city centre is 70% foreigners and 29% tourists these days!

The 1% are the police and the few Portuguese who still have jobs going to work.

Anyhoo, we've veered waaaaaay off topic, I am a terrible Moderator!

Anyway, here's a picture of a club in Lisbon, to bring it back on topic.

Peasant! Can't you see it's some sort of ironic industrial post-modern minimalism. or something?

You really are too old for clubbing...
